Ok, can anybody tell me why when I ordered MoPar part # P4452803 the injectors in the packaging are stamped # 4418474 ?
I sold these to somebody and was told they were not 803's ?

According to the chart on thedodgegarage.com, 4418474 is equivalent to the 4452803. The first one is a factory Deka PN, the second number is a Mopar Performance PN.

Also, the MP p/n is for the "pack of 4" injectors as opposed to an individual one

That helps alot.....I sold these 803's (under the number i purchased from a MoPar dealer) and the individual comes back at me and says that I sold the wrong part...as these are stockers. I always thought the 803's and 474's were the same. ;) Just good old ma MoPar and her number games !!

The 803's and 804's have really caused confusion over the years as to what they really are.

Old (original) 803's and 4's were actually injectors that flowed TOO much over stock flow rates/tolerances (as I was told by a Chrysler Tech, the injectors were flow matched at the factory before assembly). They were toted 803's and 4's and sold under the premise they flowed a little bit more than stock, and as such were considered a stock injector replacement.

Later on in production, these 803's and 4's were eventually repackaged stock injectors. If this were true, the only way to test would be to have them cleaned and flow tested by an injector specialist, who can reman and rebuild them. On my MP paperwork that came with my 804's I had, it states that the "804 will flow 35 LB-hr fuel + or - 3 LB-hr rate. So at the lowest rate, you have a bone stock injector. But at the highest rate, its 38 LB-hr, which flows approximately 16% more fule than stock, moving close to the +20s

I was told the same thing by the guy that used to run Mopar Performance back in the 90's. They took stock injectors that failed the testing process because they flowed too much. They matched sets of these injectors so that all the injectors in a set of 4 flowed about the same. And that is how MP packaged and sold them. So 803's and 804's should have the same manufacturing part number stamped on them as the stockers.
