well I could takei it apart to see whats in side? CPU or PIC control chip.

It would be interesting to see what's inside, these are not only what activates the air bag, but also data-logs certain ECU data stream for latter review after a deployment... In other words, it's a snitch! No telling the insurance company that you were minding your own business doing the speed limit when you swerved to avoid Bambi and that's how you ended up in the ditch, when the reality is you were doing doughnuts and it got out of hand!
