6.5 Crab Wheels on a Shelby Charger

I am putting a set of 6.5 crab wheels on my shelby charger, I know stock pizza wheel tire size is 205/50/15, I want to run something wider as those look too wimpy, can I run 225/50/15?? Thats what was on my 86 C/S and the tires looked nice. Or will they rub? Is there anything in between?

Yes you can. I know there are people running the 225 kuhmo 712s

I ran 225 50 15 on my Sc to. I had them on 7" wide wheels. The wheels are for sale.

there will be plenty of rubbing :)

I was running 205/50/15 p700z and i was only rubbing on the manual transmission cover. There is less pertrusion with the automatic into the wheel well. However that was near lock to lock areas.

IIRC all of the SCs rubbed when turned full lock to the right from the factory. I know that my omni with 7" wide wheels and 205/50s rub on there now.
