She lays down a smear track of oil wherever I park It seems to be coming from the firewall side of my engine. It's not from the valve covers - I think...

Any advice?

Valve covers, galley plugs, head gasket, power steering, cam seals, rear main, oil pan, turbo oil feed line, turbo drain back hose.

Hey Vanman
Thanks again
I will try these

What is the head bolt tightening sequence and torque?

45-65 +90 degrees. Work inside out.

If it is leaking when parked, I would suspect one of the crank seal or pan gasket. But that isn't to say that the oil came out when it was still running and took that long to drip down the engine. Take the cam covers off, clean off the suspected areas with brake cleaner and let the car idle a bit while you look around.

in back mystery oil leaks makes valve cover my first suspect.
Second is the bolt in head on lower right of driver side[where its stamped 'TS'.
Third is turbo.
I have only found the blue felpro rubber vc gaskets to not leak oil when installed DRY
onto really clean head.

I cleaned the valve gasket really well and used a little form a gasket. So far the galley is dry.

This bolt you mention.. Is it under the valve cover? Also, right hand driver side spacial reference is when standing at the front of the car?

If I can get this fixed then I am heading to Daytona for the last half of bike week! - with my Harley in tow.

Iv'e been so busy lately I miss things and I missed 'r/t', if its dohc i am not sure about bolt, if you have an 8v head on it its driver side bottom right bolt used for holding water and turbo lines.
It has a passage into where the head bolt is at and oil leaks out of that area if bolt is not covered w rtv.

have you checked the oil return hose between the turbo and back of the block? sorry if its already been suggested and i skipped over it. thats just always the first thing that comes to mind when there is oil leaking on the back side

Two cans of engine clean is sure to help.

I think it leaks most after I git' into the boost. If I puttputt around it doesn't seem to leak as bad.

Is oil always circulating in/out of the turbo or does volume increase with greater engine RPM or throttle position?

That sounds less like a turbo problem and more like a pcv problem causing a seal or gasket to leak.

The turbo sees the same oil pressure the rest of the engine, increasing with rpm to a max of about 80.

PCV... interesting. I'll get a new one and advise Thanks

These cars are known to have pcv issues. The valve could be bad but higher mileage engines and boost make the inadequate PCV system show. If that is the case a catch can is a band aid fix.

Did I say how much I love this little car? She is a blast.

Is the catch can installed right at the engine block?

No, you can pretty much put it anywhere. Do a compression check on your motor to see if you have blow by.

Any need to keep the oil separator assembly?

It's ok to remove that.
