No such thing as a dumb question. Only dumb question is one that isn't asked. lol Quoted from FWDP webpage;

"Name: 1987 T2 Trimcal
Core Charge: $75.00
Part Number: FWD 87-0586
Description:
Trimcals allow user to monitor engine sensor data in real time from inside the car. Items monitored include coolant temp, TPS volts, Battery volts, inj. pulse width, O2 volts, Map volts, knock and injector duty cycle. Comes with 4 preset boost levels which can be adjusted on the fly, and the user will be able to adjust both fuel and spark either +5%, +10%, 0, -5%, -10%. Requirements include aircharge temp sensor, 3 bar map sensor, +40% injectors, adj. FPR and intercooled set-up."

whats up Gabe, aint seen you on a turbo mopar forum in forever.

no you dont need a lab top, it comes with a little monitor box for changing fuel and spark curves and boost level and also shows you tps voltage, o2 volts, coolant temp, etc.

yep it controls boost, up to 21psi i think? my buddy who has one runs over 25 psi on pump gas with alky injection with a manual boost controller. boost cut out doesnt occur till 29-30psi.
