Need a 555/568 third gear

If you can get your hands on a good condition 3-4 synchronizer slider/sleeve and use that it will actually shift quite nicely..

Third gear in my daily driver (1990 568,tbi 2.2) is totally destroyed. I put it back together with the original equally destroyed slider ring and it would easily grind on downshifts just about everytime and upshifts it would grind if you didnt give it a chance to line up and drop in (shifting really slowly). I replaced the damaged slider ring with a better one from another parts donor and its been grind free since.

Third is probably the most frequently damaged gear, most people who have one and know how to check/what to look for in the condition are probably not going to be willing to part with it if its in really nice condition. I have looked into getting 2nd, 3rd and 4th reproduced out of 9310 alloy but since 99% of people here would balk at the cost because its not going to be free it will never happen.
