so i just got word today im gonna need a rebuild, mechanic says no compression on cyl 1&2 so with 130K miles and a hard life i think its time. i want to build it for power doing it right the first time so im talking forged pistons, crank, polished intake and exhaust stg 5 calibration the hi flow fuel pump bigger injectors ect.

So to start with this is what im working with 1990 daytona shelby 2.2L VNT
5 spd a568 trans

biggest question is what turbo should i use for around 20- 25 psi?
here is a list of things i have for a rebuild so far

forged crank
forged pistons
major rebuild kit minus pistons
+40 injectors
255 l/hr fuel pump
fuel reail
3 bar map
stg 5 calibration
ported intake and exhaust manifold

ok that being said what turbo would work best with this build i can go at least 1000 for a turbo

thx for any idea also let me know if i left out pertinent info the figure this out.

You don't need a fuel rail.

Your going to need a clutch if not done already.

I would consider some mild porting and +1mm valves for the head.

Turbo, you can't beat a 50 trim stage II .63 a/r housing, someone is selling a nice GT30R on there for around that price, that would be a wicked combo, The Holset HE351 is another great choice, cheapish and can make 500+ whp on a properly built engine.
