I saw kmp used to have header flanges for our motors, but not anymore. Where can I find these elsewhere? Doesn't seem like something very common and I am going to start building my headers shortly.

They sell them for less than I could get them made for...

i could get some made for cheep cheep but they would have to be milled flat and im the inside diameter would have to be cleaned up nicely. not sure if i could warrant doing all that considering how cheep they can do them for.

Perfect, thanks!

I'll snag these up soon and get to work!

as in possibly free for me to get them made. just pay shipping

*disclaimer, i dont do this for just anyone. feel special that i offered

the catch is i have never actually done it. I would have a gasket drawn up in a cad program, sent to the laser cutter thing in our shop at school and have them cut on 3/8th steal (not sure if we have 1/2. might not even have 3/8)

the laser cutter is nice but it wont make the holes 100% perfect. I have a head i can put them on to make sure bolt holes line up. I made my intake spacers this way

this is after i cleaned them up (i wont have time to make yours look nice, sorry :P)

i never milled them flat so i had to use permatex all over them

Actually, come to think of it, I have a buddy who does this as well. I may see what he would charge to make some...and possibly have a few sets made.

Thanks Sundance! I'll get back to you

yeah np. for the spacers, i just scanned the gasket and had them cut. you could do the same after modifing the gasket so it lays flat (ours have that thing on them for the spark plugs

The link that ed posted is a good source. I bought all my exhaust from them. Not sure if I'll ever actually get it all welded up, but It did make a cool picture!

So that other set is sold as a pair so its maybe a good price but no pictures...

Yeah the other set http://www.weir-tech.com/mitsubishi/mitsubishi-6g72-v6-pair-exhaust-head-flange-3/8-mild-steel/ are a good price. I went to order from them but their website was acting up + they are canadian based, so I'm not sure if they would be such a good deal after shipping. Ntrain2k claims to have set these flanges up and says they were designed for these motors. I've never seen pics but have no reason to believe they wouldn't work.

That doesn't specify it's a SOHC flange either

I've got a spare set of oem manifolds laying around, can i just cut the piping off of them and weld to them? I would assume I could but stranger things have happened.

Very difficult to weld cast iron.

better off brasing. you can try it i guess.. ive seen people weld it but its just not a good idea.. its hard to get a strong weld.

Gotcha, wasn't sure if they were iron or steel
