The title pretty much says it all. Where is the best place to buy bends and pipe from. What was the name of the company that sold on here? I thought it was racing solutions, but I couldn't find their site earlier.

Strait can be had in 8 ft sections at a muffler shop. We sell it pretty cheap.

I'm still looking for Dave who worked for Summit out of Denver back in 05'. It's go time when we finally meet. He'll be seeing floating wrist pins for the rest of his days!

This place.
Most of the pieces I've been looking at for my Holset install have been cheaper.

This will be going on my Shadow so I'm just looking for something which will hold up for a long time, but not necessarily for the rest of my life. It doesn't have to look pretty either.

Should I buy SS409 or SS304?

I like the ss 409 for exhaust. I've used it on a couple of different turbo applications with no issues. I've used both a mig and a tig to weld it. you do need to back purge if you are tig welding it.

409 is generally cheaper, but will eventually rust (not nearly as fast as aluminized though). 304 will likely outlast the car. Most automotive exhaust systems today are made of 409.

For aluminized 3 inch 90, MBS price is $9.95
Columbia river is $13.75
MBS shipping for me was more than half price of CR.

We don't try to be the cheapest, we just try to ship the fastest with with the largest inventory anywhere. This year we are closing in on stocking 300,000 bends. I don't know of anyone anywhere that is within even 10% of us.

Its not meant as a burn, and the CMB bends are best you can get. just can't afford to splurge on pipes for a car that cost less than $1000.
I like local businesses and I hate the big chains, but come payday I have next to nothing to show for it.
I know I'm not the only one...

I got mine from MRX, supported a local vendor. Works for me as he just said pick out whatever you think you might need, return what you dont use. This way I'm not stuck with 1/2 an exhaust done and I'm missing something. They're vibrant brand SS pipes, look flawless.

Yeah, talked to him yesterday. I've been encouraging him to contact you in order to support SDAC here in Detroit and in turn get some publicity/do an MRX garage sale and/or giveaway, but I guess he hasn't done anything yet. Not sure when hes going to get back into things full strength.

If you're not dead set on stainless, I've ordered several 2.5" mandrel kits from turbos unleashed, with no issues. I dunno how close his 3" kits are, but I've been very happy with his service.

I've got one of his 3" systems on the Charger, and the only mods needed were to cut where I needed to put my muffler. Otherwise the fit was excellent.

Oh, but I can't get the fuel tank out without dropping the exhaust down. Not that that's a big deal in an L-body.
