Need lightweight rims for all four corners, only for track use. About to have some made through Bogart. Does anyone have the correct sizing info? Anybody using something else? Where to buy? Deal, Deals,Deals:eyebrows:

I bought used Centerlines made for the small-bolt A-bodies from the late 60's. It's a 5x4" pattern, so I had to do a little bit of adjusting to get them to fit with the centerline stud/nut thingys. But, they work well, are light, and a whoooole lot cheaper than Bogarts.

I have 15x6.5 on the front and 15x4 on the rear. I really need 15x7s for the front, though. Too much cantilever with the new 24.5" M&H slicks.

Yeah, i would think 7" would be a minimum up front (if you're buying custom..) and 8 wouldn't be bad either. For an 8inch rim up front you'd need a +35mm or lower (lower number) offset. 7 or 7.5 gives you more wiggle room on offset but +35 is still a good number to shoot for.

Just drill them thru with a 3/4" bit, I had to do the same thing. (shelgame) If you ever get rid of your 15x6.5's, I am really interested

I have a set of 5x4" bolt pattern Centerline skinnies and they bolted right on

For wheel weights... the skinny Centerlines are listed at ~12lb

Bogart 15x7 = 9.5 lb
Bogart 15x3.5 = 7.5 lb

7" rims (actually 7.5" wide) are perfect for 8.5" wide slicks

I think it depends on how beat up the lug holes are, a 3/4 bit barely removed any material. dfo you have any extra fronts?

I bought them brand new... and they use mag style lug nuts and fit no problem.

4" = 101.6mm so we're talkin' 1.6mm (0.06299") here.. not much

Anything has to be better than my shelby lancer rims I am using, at over 43lbs each

The rims below are spun steelies and are 13x7 with a 4 inch back space, about -35mm offset, not +! The bolt pattern is 4x100 and they were only 13 lbs each. Diamond racing wheels made them for me. As far as a light wt skinny tire....both of these tires 155/60/15 for the dumb Smart car are decently light at 14 lbs, yet street legal.

Not really worried with street legal, these are only going to be used at the track, thanks for the info

Those smart car tires are a nice tip, thanks for that!

From what i understand the 155/60 15 will fit a 6.0 rim also.

155mm is a hair over 6" in width.

So are those tires just a track thing or do you run it on the street with them?

I thought there were some wider VW steel wheels in our bolt pattern that would work? I looked a little but didn't find much. I'm in the market for some track only rims also. Don't really want to drop the money on Bogarts if I can find something a little cheaper. I'll Have to start looking.

I don't remember which VW, Beetle or Jetta, had the wider steel wheels.
SRT-4 guys were using them, same 5 X 100 bolt pattern.
I'm using PT Cruiser steels running BFG DR 225 tires.

Can you remember how wide they are?
