Storing a T1 Garrett..

So, with some money problems the 600 project is on hold. I've read a few posts about seals going bad on turbos and I'd like to know if there is some special way to store a turbo so that when the day finally comes to use it again, the seals don't blow out, or get dried up...

I dunno of anything you could really do other than fill the oil line passages with oil and then plug them.

Change the oil every 3 months in the turbo. :thumb: ha! ..... I'm serious.

storing anything is hard on them i fill mine with with 20w50 and use plugs from air conditioner compressors (when you buy one they come with them)the thick oil won't leak out near as easy
