Fellow Enthusiats,

Well, it's been sometime since we have posted to the forum, but we have been hard at work. This year we have a very special Christmas gift for all the Daytona/Laser fans - G body window scrapers.

No more do you have to make do with something that works, but just isn't quite correct. True to fashion OMNI-Potent is supplying the community with the correct scrapers.

You can check out our website for more information.

Have a great holiday and awesome New Year!

Well, looks like Joy can rest her arm on the window felts again. She'll appreciate this product in due time. Nice work Greg and crew.

That's pretty cool.

Thought about Van's?

I have to check but the rear wiper grommet is a common item to fail, I know a few of us need them, going to phone the dealer tomorrow but I fear its discontinued.

Oh yeah, they're long gone. I had to pull the one I bought in 2005 out of my '86 and swap it into my '91, and it was already showing a lot of weather cracks. This was 2 1/2 years ago. Now this is of course on a Daytona, but I'm pretty sure Minivans are in the same boat.

I am hoping these are long enough for t-top cars and cut for others? Great part!

Excellent! I can't use any, since unfortunately I don't have a G-body, but knowing what a problem this has been, it's great to see someone stepping up to solve it.

Last I checked a couple of years back, they still had stock... at regular $$$tealer pricing of course... someone posted up recently about using a "FORD PCV grommet" from I think the "Help" products. I've handled one of those when installing for it's intended purpose, and yes, it's pretty similar.

If the length is long enough for t-tops then both cars will be getting new sets. How much longer till the P body scrapers come out.

To answer a few questions - if there is enough interest in T tops, which there appears to be, we can see if these can be made. I have the measurements for the length of them.

We are working on all scrapers. So I hope to have P body fairly soon. :eyebrows:

I haven't really thought about doing these for vans yet. However, it is something that I will put on the list.

I'm gonna have to go through the pile of rubber in my garage and figure out what exactly I've got. It's weatherstrip etc all off a 1st gen van, used, but I've had it 6 years, the guy I got it from had it in the garage for a few before that, so it's been out of the sun and weather, and uncompressed for probably 10 years, so might have some good pieces to get dimensions off for reproductions if required.

Won't the J-body coupe windshield stuff work for a G-body? If so, what model years was the J-body windshield kit designed for?

2 T-top Daytona's reside here. Definitely interested in them and even more interested in minivan scrapers. '87-'90 ones.

Yes, I have a T-top shelby daytona and am in desperate need of window scrapers! Hell, why don't you guys sell T-top seals too!! I will purchase both!

Reaper1
07-21-2013, 11:00 PM
I am not affiliated with the vendor, but here's my conclusion on that:

T-top seals are very complex and expensive. They have a limited market and the investment to make them doesn't really make sense.

kvnndvn

Does anybody know if they are sold aftermarket? I for sure see your point however.

Reaper1

None that I'm aware of. There used to be a limited supply of NOS OEM ones, but I know that supply was running low as of about a 1-1/2 years ago. Try to contact Brent Duval. He is a member on both TM and TD. He's a good guy and has one of the nicest '89 Daytona Shelby's in the world! (not joking)

Yes, like banger 68 said! We need those T-top outer scrapers!

Any one have pics of theG body Outer Window Scrapers
SKU 3023 installed? Do they have the turbo graphic on them, or is it just the rubber that I install onto the hard piece with the writing?

My t top is torn down right now. I think the inner t top inners are just longer! I am willing to just get 2 longer pieces and trim to fit!
The outers are practically the same as a Camaro T top. Just need to be trimmed. I got those for $4.76 at pick n pull but the the inners were missing.

Well I emailed Omnipotent about something that looks close for the inside window scraper.

Daytona T-Top Window Scrapers Yet?

+1. Half of the posts in this thread are for T-top pieces, so do it up! I think this would make a great Christmas present to myself.
