Can anyone help me find the table to adjust the running fuel immediately after start-up when the engine is cold (say, <100 F temperature; open-loop)?
What happens is when the car is started cold, it is very rich. Once it switches to closed-loop, the idle and A/F hunts (I assume the ECM is trying to compensate for the overly rich mixture from the adaptive tables having 'too rich' data from when it was in open-loop mode after start-up). After driving it around (ECT >100 F), the idle and A/F are normal (again I assume that the adaptive tables have flushed out the old data from being too rich afer start-up).
If I kill the engine and re-start (ECT now at normal temps) the idle and A/F are fine as well. I'm convinced that the problem is ECT related when temps are cold.
Thank you,
Chuck
