Would there be any ill effects If I were to install a 255lph Walbro pump on my 87 Shelby Lancer that is all stock? Reason is, I have this 255lph pump assembly that I took off of one of my cars when I upgraded to a fuel cell and in-line 255lph pump. So, the pump went out on my SL, and If I can install this one, I won't have to buy a new pump. But, I worry about my stock fuel pressure regulator not being able to keep up with bleeding off the extra pressure. What do others think? Thanks...

Works fine, you'll have no problems.

Agreed. It should not be an issue at all.

No issues what so ever, just be sure to replace your fuel filter.

And replace all your fuel injection hoses while you're there. Need 2-3 ft of 5/16 and 1-2 ft of 1/4.

It should be OK. I had an issue with one of these in my Daytona, due to a problem with the flow of the return line. The fuel pressure was way too high at idle. The problem turned out to be the fuel tank, which was pretty messed up anyway so I replaced it with another. I know a few other people have had high fuel pressure issues with these as well, so I just wanted to throw that out there. If everything else is in good working order, the stock setup can handle it.

I, too, had an issue with getting low enough fuel pressure with the 255 on my G-body. I ended up replacing the return line with another supply line from a donor car to increase the inner diameter and reduce the restriction. After that, all if good!
