Need one in good working order, within driving distance of Binghamton, NY. If you've got an A568, I'll also need the shifter and cables. Tranny's going into an '87 Shelby Z with a currently trashed A555. Please either email jason@audiomanonline.com or respond here, or through PM. Thanks!!

I've got 2 sets of A568/A523 shifters and cables if your interested. These came from 98/99 Neon R/T's. They are the exact same as the 90-95 cars, the length might be shorter or longer than a shadow, dont remember and the shifter boot and shifter boot base is different. The end bushings are in perfect shape and will not need replacing. I could do $60.00 shipped on a set of cables and a shifter. I also have a A555 if interested.

I think you may be too far of a drive for the A555, but I'll keep the cables and shifter in mind if someone has a 568/523 nearby. Just curious, what would you want for the 555?

I'm not even sure if it's blown up, I'm thinking it might be a clutch issue, but I'd rather have a spare on hand when I yank it to speed up the process

523s are a lot more plentiful, cheaper, easier to convert to lsd and come in more gear ratios than the 568

i had one for sale not long ago. sold for 125$. if you want one, what ratio gearing would you want, i think the small spline came in 3.50 ratio only. 3.77 and 3.85 i think are large spline. i could get a 3.77 or 3.85 most likely the easiest and would cost you probly 175$ if you are interested. 3.50 ratio ones are hard to find only 1990.

I'd like to stick with the 18 spline so I can still use my current clutch.

3.50 ratio was 90 & 91
3.85 ratio was 90 & 91
3.77 92+

No need...looks like it's the clutch that's failed, not the transmission.

Are you looking for a clutch now?
