Rock bottom price- $700

Daily driven T-top, has current inspection. Paint is primer-ish due to fade, plastic trim on door tops needs replaced. Interior is fair cloth, dash is perfect.
5-speed and great clutch. Driven short hops and long distances.
New windshield just installed early summer. ($300, ouch)
My annoyance list that you need to know is:
pwr MIRRORS never worked.
one of the belts squeaks
suspension squeaks (new rear shocks and big R/T swaybar)
AIC needs cleaned i think, idle takes awhile to settle
A/C hardware is there, although no belt and i never tried it.

I bought this from the original owner, who took great care of it.
Passing the torch to someone who needs to get to work/ restore it's beauty or turbo swap...

SOLD! thanks to all on the forums for the help and good words!

I am willing to do $600, but you get steels, not snowflakes- anyone? This is the 2.5 TBI commonblock, and it's no slouch getting into traffic.

Put it on your local craigslist.org, if you have not. I always have better luck selling on there.

been on there for some time- understand we live in two VERY different areas- ppl in this locale want a car for free or want to trade you random items, lol

Is there any rust on the car anywhere?

john1320

Of course- in the usual suspect areas. (e-brake cable pass-through, one spot at spare tire well) I'm sure there's minor rust in the pan low spots, every Daytona out here has some. Keep in mind a perfect tona would be much more expensive..

That's the same with ALL area. Wants payment plan, wants trade, wants to know if you can hold the car for 3 months while they get money, no shows,... It's all the same.

Here a bump for you.

:amen: I can do one better! My friend Roscoe had an "Intimate" proposition from a college gal, for a cheap ride he was selling.
We were all thankful he declined, lest he bring home a set of crabs!

He posted the e-mail screenshot last week, but only kept it up on his FB page for that day. QQ We begged him to keep it up...

thanks, do you have any engine bay pics or underbody pics? I have a friend that is looking for a second car because his current DD is a new comaro ss , not exactly the best choice for winter or bad weather of any kind, haha

Nothing special underhood- just dirty but all is there in it's place. If i can bum a camera this week, will try to get a couple esp underneath. It's not Fred Flintstone under there, but does have the usual rust spots in lowest pan area and e-brake pass-through. Keep in mind a pristine body won't happen out here. If no luck this next couple weeks, may have to strip and scrap the hell out of it. Spare panels might be handy if someone hits the Shelby

Would you be afraid to drive it to FL?

Need anything immediate like tires, alignment, brakes?

T-tops leak?

If you include steelies, are they 15" like the snowflakes? Are you switching tire from snowflakes to steelies?

Nope. I drive it EVERYWHERE, lol! Only switching if buyer is being cheap.. T-tops don't but drivers upper door glass seal does just a little, when rain is heavy during driving. Only reason it leaks is i DON'T trust myself to find, remove and replace it properly. It even has the t-top storage bags (nice) and key..

Cool!!!

I may be interested in it as a first car for my daughter instead of the SL. I need to discuss over the next couple of days with my people.

If we were to come and get it, I would keep the snowflakes on it and it would probably be over Thanksgiving weekend.

How hard is it for you to get a temp tag for it?

You can get a temp "travel" tag from the local DMV, for a small fee. (8 blocks away) That's what we've done in the past. VA is easy on so many things with DMV, but doubles up on local taxes. Go figure, lol

They get you coming or going.

Our local taxes are pretty cheap here, but DMV has gone through the roof!

I looked into a trip permit. But it's telling me I have to be a VA resident to get it?

I can spot the extra cash for it, appears to be close to $50 total with the uninsured motorist insurance.

Also, I'm leaning towards doing this after Thanksgiving and doing a one-way fly drive combo.

Would Richmond or Lynchburg be a better airport to fly into? They're both within $10-$20 for a ticket.

In that case I'm not sure what to suggest. I winged it when i drove a TD from out of state- called my ins company with vin# and used owner's plates. I guess i felt confident since I had a friend driving behind me on the return trip.
Lynchburg would be a bit closer to Farmville, *should* save 20 minutes. I agree post holiday price will be easier on ya..

If you're ok with leaving plates on it and I can mail them back that would be fine.

I've done the no plate thing locally, but I'm not comfortable over a long didstance.

FL won't issue a plate until they've inspected the car. Basically verifyed the VIN in the dash is the VIN on the title. We don't have anything more than that here.

Would you want a deposit?
