Was at a local car show today, and an older neon had a INDY 2 piece intake manifold on it. Has anyone used one of these on a hybrid instead if using a stocker or building your own? Looks like it would be a good intake, but it is $500 also.

Also what is the difference between the 95-99 and 2000+ heads that would not allow you to use this manifold. It says that the 2000+ has been discontinued.

It was a very good intake for boosted applications.

2000 Neons never came with a DOHC engine, except the SRT-4's. SOHC engines take different intake manifolds.

Also on 2000+ neons, the throttle body was not bolted to the intake manifold. The throttle body was mounted to the air filter box, and a flexible hose connected the manifold to the throttle body.

We have one on our car with a 2.4 conversion. I also have an extra one that has been ported and the two pieces welded togeter for sale, so if someone is interested, let me know...

How much do you want for that intake Cindy? Budget is a bit tight right now, but there is always room for a good deal.
