Code 43 & 51

I have an 84 Turbo Z. Runs rich at idle. I have code 43 & 51. It looks like there is a problem with the interface from the power module to the logic module. I have a very simple repair manual. It is little to no help. Can anyone help with this problem? I'm not sure where the power module is? Is the interface simply the wiring harness between the two?

The logic module is located under the passenger side kick panel inside the vehicle and the power module is part of the intake system near the battery. I would start by checking the connections and cleaning them up.

Cleaned all of the connections to the power module. I needed to remove the battery to get to the connection closest to the core support. I charged the battery for a while while I did this. Now I get a code 12. That would make sense since the battery was removed however, the car won't start now. What am I missing? One would think that when the battery is replaced or dies and was charged that it would go back to normal??????
