So, wait, which one of those examples are a "built omni glh/glhs"? If you're looking for a turn key race (ie 11 seconds or faster) omni, you're looking at least 5k unless someone just wants to give all their hard work and engineering away.

GLHS for 999.99? When did they convert it to 4 lug brakes etc.? That's way too much for a car that someone's converted over in that shape unless it's rock solid underneath.

no, he's right the link you didnt look at is a glhs but it's totaled, real hard front end impact, broke the trans, punched the oil pan, bent the steering wheel, really tore up. so he is looking for a built race car for 1000.00, he could buy the glhs,but would have a hard time driving it. also buying a srt4 isnt the same as having a swapped turbo mopar with the srt powerplant in it.

Lol, you keep posting all these exhibits, why not just buy one of them? You've got three options already!

I'm with the other guys. You're going to have to spend more to get anything that's worth while. By the time you buy that smashed GLHS and fix it, you'll have $5k in it easy. And on top of that, it still has shitty parts. Building a drag car on a budget, starting with a GLH isn't your best option. Weak bottom end, super shitty trans, non-intercooled, less then desireable electronics, etc. If you found a GLHS, that would help by having an intercooler and better electronics. Go buy a ShelbyZ daytona. It's already intercooled, better trans, stronger bottom end, better electronics, etc.

Those two GLH's for $2k have been on CL forever. All you're going to get out of that mess is a couple sets of ground effects, faded headlight bezels, some log computers, a couple power modules, and $200 worth of scrap. So MAYBE $500 worth of stuff. Why do you think they've been listed for sale forever?

You said you want to run a good 1320. What do you consider a good 1320? 15's? 10's?
