But when you have a 16,000 lbs 5th wheel hitch you dont miss it becuase you never had much space to work with
plus i can pull the tank out of the bed if needed
and when i pull long haul i dont want to stop till i get there !

Yup stopping for fuel sucks..OVERKILL IS UNDER RATED!!!!!! taking the neighborhood camping 16,000..!!?? Ive got a cheapy tank I store fuel in when it gets cheap, thats one good thing about having fuel storage. What size tank? If your pressed for bed room what about a 30gal with toolbox above? They make some pretty big tanks that go into stock locations like 55gals(thats 825miles getting 15mpg), and it would be a better selling point when you want to sell the truck, then buy a tool box for the bed instead and have more room...?

I'd just stick a domestic heating oil tank in there... can get 'em for free or real cheap when people finally convert to natural gas... 100 gallons, fugly as f**k, and some of the old ones are super steampunk oldskool looking with welded rivets etc...

Here is another in bed alternative, and you don't have to sacrifice much bed space, and expandable too. They appear to be a canadian also.

Not sure if these guys have in bed tanks.

personally would love a big mid-ship tank, but too pricey to justify.

The main reason i dont want a replacement tank is i want to be able to fill my diesel gen set . pluss putting in a bed tank they get less pissy if you fill it with marked diesel at the pump.

I have had a L shaped diamond tread tank for a long time, I still have the tool box on the bed that sits over the lower part of the "L". Stay away from steel tanks they rust and it gets into the everything (been there done that).
