Ah ok thought that might be it, just never seen one setup to open with boost.

yeah i was thinking about it , wont be the best for a race car for optimal spool up but for the street its a fair game , and i can keep the 3 in downpipe and keep the stock exaust on the back without catching too much attention from the cops exept if im running 5 psi haha ... im gonna use a wg solenoid to stop boost in the vacc line in case of ...

Good idea. I thought of doing the same things many times but thought, like talk, is cheap! lol.

That got me thinking... Maybe hook it to a pressure tap in the exhaust manifold, so it opens with exhaust back pressure? Only down side is there is often 2X the back pressure compared to boost, so 5-6PSI would have it open pretty much all the time there is boost... unless you added a solenoid to keep it closed until WOT via a WOT micro-switch, ala nitrous kits...

Anyway you slice it, it's pretty cool! As is everything you make that actually works (even a little!).

i may stick to boost pressure and im gonna use a vacc solenoid to stop the pressure when i dont want it or need it or seeing cops

Solenoid to vacuum can that recieves boost through a check valve. Flip the solenoid and it will open as long as you've had over a given amount of boost to fill up the can. 80's Honda's have cute little plastic vacuum cans and nice orange and white check valves.
