saturday we went to a carshow and there was a dynojet , and only cost 60 $ so we tried the cummins , mods: bigger injectors , fast pump , bullydog , ats trans , ats intake and bullybod CAI , we did a first run without alky resulting 360 whp and 786 wtq , then the second run we added the 14 gph of meth , resulting 386 whp and 786 wtq .

all at 30 psi . seems low hp to me , what you guys think ?

I think that's a ton of torque.

What are you revving to? That's incredible torque.

sounds right in the ballpark to me. my 99 2wd stick truck made 300 / 620 at the wheels with a 4" exhaust and edge box on level 3 out of 5. i didnt have enough injector or clutch to go with step 5 but the gains with these things seem to be in the torque department more than horsepower and boost pressure itself doesn't seem to have a direct correlation to power the same way as it would with an air throttled turbo gas motor.

yeah thats whati heard , after speaking with the bullydog tech i need some adjustment for defuel , but he said the egt's are perfect at 1200 (post turbo) and im thinking of another 14 gph nozzle if the pump can handle it ...

really that is horrible i made 377 922 on a 98 12v only mods were no fuel plate,4gsk,5in exhaust. You need to switch tuners bullydogs sucks on those years of trucks and upgrade to a 05 HO turbo slightly bigger then the 341 and can be picked up cheap. My 08 6.7 although never dynoed will put donw 400-450whp and 890-1000ftlbs only mods are a tuner i know alot of 5.9cr with the 451 turbo usally make 450+HP

got good results with truck pulling this year in the street trucks class

7500 pounds , 2 first place , one 2nd place
8500 pounds , 1 first place , two 2nd place
9500 pounds , 1 first place , one 2nd place

not too bad for a stock engine and turbo

one problem is making us loosing power and speed , we have a ats trans , when shifting to 2nd gear it does a neutral and shift too early in 3rd

---------- Post added at 09:36 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:28 AM ----------

also looking to get a bigger turbo , any easy mods would be appreciated , currently have

ats trans
ats torque converter
fass pump
injectors (dunno the size tho)
ats intake
alky 14 gph nozzle
bullydog air intake
bullydog controler

since you have all those mods you might really consider efi live they got 500+ HP out a completely stock truck heres some of there post "Well a new flash vs. was released recently and he has tuned a 100% stock truck to achieve 520+HP. They then added 50 horse nozzles and picked up to 560-570. Removed the stock air filter to open air and did 594/1130. All of this on a STOCK truck" Even on the d-max they picked up almost 100HP with efi compared to the best canned tune. If you cant afford the efi next step is a smarty i say this because its the next best thing for adjustability you can adjust rail pressure timeing tourqe management ect ect. As for your shifting problem dont pull with it anymore until you can figure out the shifting issue.

As for turbos twins is your best bet if you tow and if your mechanicly inclined you can build a twin setup pretty cheap compared to a kit just a matter of what you want to do, but if i had a good chunk of cash to spend i would go with some ballbearing twins of some sort or my first option would to call fleece performance and runn one of there cheetah vgt turbo with there controller that way you get the best of both worlds fast spool "vgt" alot more HP and it will have a built in exhaust brake

if your looking for just a cheep upgrade get a 05+ HO turbo he351 instead of your he341 if you look hard enough you can find new htb3's on ebay for 4-700bucks and make a decent mild twin setup

The HE 341 is your limiting factor. Your losing ground, due to intake heat with that turbo at those boost levels. It really goes down hill above around 25-27 psi. The He351 will push 40-42 psi , and with the wg opened up it is good for 500 H.P. you should see another 30-40 h.p. with the He 351. You are correct about the auto trans not dynoing as well as a 6 speed. The Smary is a really god programer, with alot more programing options than most, and I know where there is one in the wrapper. The beta 4.4 program is boss for the 03.
