So have i understood correcly, or is it not possible to datalog an unmodified smec with MPscan..?
I thought this could be an option for me since its very hard to find a scanner for these here in Finland...

Very possible. You need one of the FTDI cables, though, in order to get the correct baud rates for the SMEC.

Thanks for the quick reply. I think i will be able to find a cable like that..
I have another problem though. The instructions say i need an .lst file to get the correct information for grid in mpscan. And im not able to get the .lst file on mptuner since i wasn't able to find a cal online that would open in it and don't have one read from the smec since i don't have a reader/burner to get it.
So does anyone have an .lst file, that i could use on mpscan with the stock ecu?
It's an '89 Lebaron with 2.2 T2 5285 069 smec.
Thanks for any help..

I'll post my MP Tuner setup files later. Too busy right now. They're basically all ready to load into MP Scan and run...

Will one of the Turbonator T-SMEC files work with mpscan to get into my stock 069 ecu?

No, it won't. The 069 is a T2 cal. The RAM map is different. I think you could make one, but it would be a lot of hand work to build the scan file.

Here's the thread I started to post the .mpc setup files.

Ok, thanks. :)
But will the .mpc files work with my T2?
Could i just edit the .lst from T-SMEC file to get the right RAM adresses for T2 and then use it in MPScan?

No, they won't. They're setup for the '89 T1 RAM map. Not sure if you can manually create a setup for MP Scan or not.

EDIT: Actually, you should be able to create one by using the list file generated by a LadyBug build (LadyBug was Geoff Allan's T2 relocatable source). Let me see if I have one somewhere...

EDITx2: Yeah, I have a .lst file for the T2 cal. I'll make up an .mpc with it and post it later...

Hopefully in a month or so i can have the new version of mpscan2 out. it should handle the data routines much better and faster as well as a more flexible graph layout/look. i know mpscan1 works (kinda) but it really needs some tweeking. NOT ENOUGH TIME - aaaarrrgghhh!!

wowzer: Good to hear, looking forward to it. :)
I'm trying to get it working now, but i only get data at custom 977 or 1200 bps and its all garbled..
No data at all in T2 hi/lo speed mode. Anybody have any pointers? I did everything acording to the usb datalog guide, using the ftdi based usb to rs232 converter. Inverted the tx and rx.
Should i change the port speed in windows com port settings? I have it on 9600 now.

The T2 should be at 977 and 7812 for the hi/lo speeds. But, MP Scan should set those automatically if you select the "T2" option....

I can see lo 976 and hi 62500 for Smec-T2.. And LM option has lo 976 and hi 7812..
