I'm in the Detroit area getting testing done at Roush Performance Labs and saw something about Michigan and SDAC in another thread that mentioned Ann Arbor. I'm about 25 miles from there. I got excited and when I went to get the address.......found it was in Illinois. I was going to hang out for the day. Nothing much going on here on a Sunday. I'm checking often for pics, too.

Franzen giving Jon a hard time for not having a properly functioning PCV setup. It's one of Franzen's pet peeves.

You don't need the stock PCV valve for him to be happy, just a proven way to get the pressure out of the crank case while in boost.

Guys I had a blast at the show. Wish I coulda stayed all week. I also made time to go down to the lake... Amazing. On the way from the show some punk kid in a civic tried to race the vert. I staged it at the light and the brake locked up in the front. We spanked him while rolling smoke from the driver's front caliper. lol Also had a 523 stuffed in the trunk for more "downforce" lol

I'll load some pics later. Just glad the $65 Lebaron made it with minimal problems. Got home with time for an hour nap before work. :thumb:

That's Larry Buford's(sp?) ride. Not only is he one of the best guys you could meet, but he runs that car HARD. I've seen him drive to and from several events in it while running at the track like he had the option of a trailer. IIRC he had towed it to the last couple of SDACs he has attended.

Yep he is a great guy and a master fabricator. he usually drives that car everywhere and runs it hard. IIRC he towed it to cincy and had to swap a tranny in the tow vehicle.

that is tom and nicks car, they are local guys around here, i believe, dont quote me, but those are just M&H skinnies.... and it remains FWD.... i went over and chatted with them as there the ones i got the other omni from...also i do know it has a few DCR parts on it too.... sorry its pretty vague but thats about all i know...

Sorry to bring a dsm to the party, but I figured I'd blow it up and everyone would be elated to see that.....alas, she held together,yet again, I've been to many a track days hot lapping with 20+ runs, can't seem break anything but transmissions. Even tried launching in second gear a few times since the 1st to 2nd synchro would only allow a granny shift. Didn't hit the 12's this time, but had a lot of fun otherwise. Its cool to be involved with such a great group of people. How about a pic of that interior that got dropped off for my '84 tona late Saturday night!? I spent all night changing it out and cleaning to get ready for the show. Anyone know of any black/gray checkered interior that is in better condition that I might be able to get my hands on? Or some of that fabric to get 'em recovered? Oh! To whom do I owe a grainger valve? I put one in the car that was given/borrowed/lent to me and didn't return it, I'd like to mail it back. Or pay ya for it. Sorry about not remembering names, but I'm bad with them, and I got very few hours of sleep over this awesome weekend.

I had a GREAT time. This was my first REAL SDAC experience. I went to topeka and that was a bust. Met alot of great people and had alot of fun doing so. This gives me the bug to detail the car better and see you all next year!

Negative... This was taken on Tues night while we were pulling out the NOS. Instead of pulling the FP fuse and letting it depressurize while running, we decided that was too much trouble. We were taking off the fuel line adapter and that SOB was spitting fuel ALL OVER that damm intake. That thing sprayed for at least 5 minutes(dead serious) and was spewing gas everywhere. I bet he lost a gallon all over that motor. :thumb:

The best part was when Alan and I both looked at each other when his 'plug' he was going to use for the nitrous was too big. It was an 'oh shlt' look and we knew we had to come up with something since it was 1 AM and parts stores were out of the question. So.... he pulled out the hood 'bumper' that holds the hood tight and screwed that in the new hole. It was perfect TD engineering at its finest and looked like it 'might' have been that way from GM...
