Yeah, the long range forecast for Detroit looks good for the whole event, and Detroit usually get the left over Chicago weather. Looks to be moderate in temps for that time also.

There are a good number of real beer drinkers luckil. Hope there are good beer stores in the area since I can't bring a supply this year!

How do you guys like your beer? I'm a huge fan of dark ales myself. Ray and I plan to bring a selection of stuff from Empyrian Brewing in Lincoln, NE. I'm also hoping to get some from Spilker in Cortland, NE, although I haven't tried it yet. But you're welcome to come try anything as long as the supplies last.

I like IPAs like DFH 90 minute and Belgian doubles, or any beer that isn't lite or light :)

I like free beer personally.

My beer rules:

1. Must be in a bottle (a few exceptions, and draft beer is good of course)
2. Must not be able to read a newpaper through it.
3. Must not be a brand produced by the big three.

I'm not picky, but prefer beers with quality, taste, and richness. I may bring a growler from mad anthonys here in Fort wayne. Anybody know if there are any breweries close by?

Dang...this mean that this evvent won't have a near 100 degree heat index or above like so many other events did?

Well I was going to head up to Cordes' place tonight and then get there about mid day on Friday, but still putting the car together, so I'm looking to leave tomorrow morning and get there about mid to late afternoon. :( I'm only going to be behind about 4 hours, but I was hoping to get the car running last night so I could do a check on everything. Looks like I'll be flying by the seat of my pants, but no different than the usual. :p

I will be bringing my cooler stocked with Bell's and Short's
There are a bunch of breweries in WI and there is Goose Island in Chicago, but they just sold out to Budweiser.
I am sure there must be a bunch of brew pubs around though.

So I talked to my sister last night at 8, her house is 10 miles from the host hotel.
She said they just got power back, they were 3 days without it. Also said there was 2 tornados in the
Chicago area? I didn't hear about them, I would of thought that would have made the news.

Yeah, our kid spent the last three weeks with her grandma in Texas and was flying back Tuesday with a layover at O'Hare. Apparently all flights were canceled, they spent the night at the terminal, and had to catch another flight the next day.

There were two, but relatively mild at EF-1. The one touched down about 2 miles from where JT and I live. I lost power for 20 hours, and there were a lot of branches and a couple trees down, but no major damage. And no injuries/deaths that I've heard about either. By the time SDAC is rolling most signs of the storm will be gone.
