Well I've been into Mopar my whole life thanks to my dad. He has been a Mopar buy since he was a young boy (He was Mopar before Mopar was cool :cool: ) Well here are a couple pics of my '85 and '90 Shelby's with my dad's 1971 Demon 340. He is second owner on it and has owned it since 1978. The paint on it is still the same paint he sprayed on it in '79 and daily drove in until '88. Has the original 340 engine and 727 transmission. I love this car and it got me hooked for life so I thought I'd share a pic or two :nod:

I love to see the old with the new. Man, those were the days, but, these are the days. Turbos are here to stay, just like those old mags.

Those pics are making me feel bad that I'm not progressing with any of my projects setting around here:

1971 Plymouth Duster ---> waiting to reinstall its 440
1974 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham St. Regis Coupe ---> needs original 440 engine reinstalled and to be bagged and SRT-8 300 wheels
1978 Dodge Magnum XE ---> needs engine rebuild on original 400HP and resto
1987 Shelby Lancer ---> rebuild a 2.5L and a new turbo; leather interior swap; swap in IROC R/T suspension and brakes
1989 LeBaron GT Turbo convertible ---> headgasket repair and possible new trans as current "new" trans has issues
1989 Dodge Caravan SE Turbo --->pull drivetain and scrap body
1992 Dodge Spirit R/T ---> mount new intercooler in nose and pumb pipes
1993 Dodge Daytona IROC R/T ---> remove suspension and brakes for Lancer, drivetrain, and interior then scrap body
1998 Dodge Neon R/T coupe ---> turbo from SRT-4
2003 Dodge SRT-4 ---> upgrade to Stage 3R engine kit

I'd absolutely love to get my hands on a Demon.

I'd love to get my hands on your Daytona too for that matter. One of the few cars that looks best in White, IMHO.

I absolutely LOVE those old pictures, Tony! A buddy of mine has pictures from his dad's shop in Detroit where he lettered tons of famous cars. I can look at them for hours.

Haha, I called him into the room here after I read your post. He said "thanks" :thumb: He's owned the Demon since '79. Prior to that, a couple down the street that used to be on his paper route owned it. He would ask the guy (original owner) everyday if he wanted to sell it and finally one day the guy gave in haha.

Wouldn't that be a Satellite? My 66 Belvedere II has a 2"Approx wide trim down the side of the car. Either way those are great cars.

I agree with Kevin about looking at old photos. My dad has a pic of his 70 Super Bee parked out front of Sox and Martins shop in 70 or 71, plus some pics of he and the car when he first got while still in his military uniform. He bought the car new after Vietnam.
