Fuel Tank Plastic Vent and Rubber Grommet 4002149 & 4185254

I searched the archives, came up mostly empty. Called the dealer and they are NS1. What is everyone doing if they break the plastic vent on the top of the tank? Plus the rubber grommet is hard as a rock.

I can re use what I have (I hope) into the new tank, but are we S.O.L. for the future?

I purchased the grommet just over 1 year ago from the dealer. The rollover valve (different newer p/n) was backordered at the time.

I got a grommet for the voyager a few months back...

I just installed/salvaged it. What a pain in the butt since the grommet was hard as a rock. I splllllloooooooggggeeddd it up real good and it took a half hour of messing with it to get it to seat correctly, but its in. Since its at the top of the tank, it should not leak.
