Inspired by the Tunnel Ram design!

Very nifty.

Using a TPI style throttle body?

Kewl.... .... and here I was thinking it was something that came off the arm of a Bobcat.

DO you think it will help build torque?

I believe It will build a good amount over what I have now but what it will really do is move the peak torque higher in the rpm range along with a substantial amount of hp at top end, where I really need it.

The laughing icons were for RoadWarrior22, he comes out with the weirdest comparisons!! I do enjoy them a lot though!

I wouldn't expect the torque to be much better feeling, but like you said, the rpm range will go up. Won't fall off on the top end like the 2.8's & 3.1's normally do.

Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week, don't forget to tip your server.

Yeah, doesn't look like great bottom end will be a feature of that one, lots of volume but too much diameter to get the momentum up. Probably outflows everything under it to the valve though.

Is it dry or wet? Dunno where the fuel goes in on your setup there. If it goes in at the TB, never mind, if it goes in at or near the ports, then I've got this idea about automagic variable intakes....

What you do, is arrange sections of inner tubes inside the intake, with open valves sealed through the wall to atmosphere, thus when in vacuum or part throttle, they inflate, at WOT, they collapse. You can either use a fat tube perpendicular to the flow to inflate and force air into the narrow side of a dual plane intake... or put thinner bike tubes at 4 corners of a wide intake to restrict it to a central core...

... If gas gets expensive, you can pre-load them by inserting the valve and putting a couple of psi in them.... or 20 psi or so if you wanna lend the car out and don't want anyone hooning it :D

I was pondering where you could find silicone hose thick enough to hold shape but flexible enough to deflate or inflate a bit... then you could contain a length of that in a rigid outer that's ventilated, and have it suck narrow, or open wide. Bernoulli effect might mess with that a bit though, be difficult to get the right degree of flex in it.

Looks great Rolando, that should really help as the older engines choked up top.

Rolando...lulz.

Reinaldo is the correct spelling I THINK.

And it probably qualifies for "The Great" in front of it... as long as you hire female assistants in skimpy attire.

I over killed it on plenum size to compensate for airflow friction on the walls. That way a larger volume of air will flow in the middle at a higher speed without friction.:thumb:

You can see how it looks from behind. From inside, I can't see through the rear view mirror. I have to get one of those panoramic mirrors to cure that problem. I really don't need it but I like to have it.
It pulls hard with a very noticeable difference specially from around 3000 to redline. The shift light comes on very fast, its goes through the rpm range a lot faster than before and I can hit the limiter (6800rpm) very fast, I have to get used to this. Time to record some data to have a new chip burn to take advantage of the intake.

Thanks Juggy! That is the idea, do all the R&D with the 2.8 and then swap to the 3.4:nod:

I admit it, I do suck for that:( but CarDomain doesn't let me post the bigger pictures, it is frustrating to me too. I'll see what I can do for the next ones to fix that problem.
