Could someone make a sticky on what kinda AF readings and EGT readings should be seen at cruise/idle/wot etc?

There are lots (too many?) variables that affect EGT. Cruise and idle a/f ratios should be around 14.7:1 as the computer tries to adjust for peak fuel economy and emissions. WOT should be 12.0:1 for a fairly safe tune with boost.

Maybe we could do the sticky with ranges of each, basically a "safe zone" for each, with the obligatory warnings regarding each parameter. Ending with a big, "This info is provided for educational purposes. Use this info at your own risk, every combo is different and my react in unpredictable ways". Or something similar to this, but the info would be easier to find and should cut down on repeated posts...

What do we think?

Thats what I was talking about Zin. Just a starting point to have a safe parameter to begin with. Those experienced need to chime in and help out.

Idea a/f ratio during normal driving - 14.7:1
Idea a/f ratio during boost conditions - 12.0:1
Idea a/f ratios under boost and nitrous - 11.0:1

Maximum knock sensor output - about 2.4 volts.

That's all I use to tune now. I have no input regarding egt reading.

Ideal a/f ratio during idle and normal driving 16.3:1

Do you have emission testing in your area?

I see you don't measure NOx. Lucky for yoiu.

This explains your better than most fuel milage. Good stuff as long as your area doesn't emission test NOx. You acheived that a/f ratio through a custom cal?

So whats everybody shoot for an ideal egt in boost, cruise?

Thanks Brian
