I found one cheap and thought I'd pick it up for the hell of it. Looks like it just provides more vacuum for the wastegate actuator, no?

Here's what they're website used to say:

LRE Turbo Response Kit
Prevents wastegate opening early. Faster boost, and temporary overboost. Drag testing showed -0.3 sec. ET and +3 mph. [$145.00]

I've got one and it didn't seem to work for me the way it was supposed to. I'm sure I had it hooked up right and I could only about 10lbs of boost with it so I took it off. It's in a box somewhere around here.

sounds like a grainger is a better choice. It holds all boost and vacuum off the wastegate till your pressure level.

Look, for the most part I know what does and doesn't work on these cars.

I didn't purchase it in hopes of gaining anything on my car. I just bought it because I thought it was an interesting piece and wanted to exam it, see how it worked, and mess around with it.

I had one of these put on my car at SDAC-2 (yes #2) when Bill Lambros from LRE was at the event. Rode with it on my Shelby Charger for many many years without any issues. Worked great!
