For a 1990 Dodge Daytona C/S VNT NOT SHELBY but the one of 36 C/S package cars based off the base model daytona with all the shelbys goodies minus gfx.

The good
Newer paint looks really really sharp minus 2 or 3 small scratches
All new Decals/badging in stock places
SUPER CLEAN INTERIOR thats had seats recovered and look excellent like new seriously
Runs and drives great newer tires stock crabs
And its one of 36 made and never bene wrecked/no rust previous cali car.

The bad

The paint is not original color it was black but now silver and you cna tell when lifting hatch or popping hood.
The Decals are red vs whatever stock was?(that even a bad?)
The seats fabric isnt exactly the same as nos but super close(is that even considered bad?)
It has 217k On it
Tires are freaking 70 series lol wtf:confused:

SO question is what would you pay for it? And no pix yet im not blowing a lead until I decide whether or not to get it. I have my charger to either sell or finish I cant have both but the price to finish my charger will be about same price as this Daytona so.... yeah.:confused:

But if I get it and someone here is interested Id flip it to them for not much more than i paid just factor time and gas/storage etc

Thanx yallssssssssssssss:lol:

Realistically its probably worth around 1500-2200 considering the miles.

Yup, somewhere around the price of "any old Daytona" that's rust free that you can get in and drive, miles and non-original paint and interior kinda kill it.

I would say about $2,000.

Well to be fair the paint is super nice no maaco job so its better than faded peeling original paint that looks like crap. I would think as it makes the car look nicer obviously having a newer paint job.

And the interior is original just the seat fabric look slightly different and to be honest I doubt anyone would really notice if you wasnt told or unless your an interior guy. But the seats look immaculate which again shows someone took great care of the car and spend good money on it and again redone seats in excellent shape are better than worn out torn stained seats right?

Here are a few Photobucket pix to help people with their evaluations.

Yes the rubber strip fell off

And the VNT Intercooled decals are brand new but red Not sure if they used red decals?
And finally,

Oh and I have a question dempsey and everywhere else except scott d site says there was only 21 C/S Daytonas in 90 and another says 36 so which is it 21 or 36 1990 daytona VNT C/S's?

If you really want it, and you're sure it is an actual CS car then get it. In the very long run the price of admission on one of these is small compared to everything else.

Buy it if you like it, you might make a couple of bucks on it if you mothball it for 5-10 years, but if you're gonna DD it, it's only gonna about hold. The charger might be a better long term performer for "investment" but if you're modding that then that's not gonna make you money either.

Chrysler has recycled some of the sales codes, so some items won't be correct when you run one of those reports on an older car. My Shadow comes back as having code ANA - Navigation System, for instance. If you have an old build sheet or sales catalog that would give an period correct description of the sales codes.

I wonder if you could go to a different dealer each week and have the YGG option replaced under warranty.

I would love to do that for my Daytona. Do we have a breakdown listed anywhere on here? We should get that going for all the models. I feel really left out when my GM buddies start talking options.
