My vnt harness is in pretty bad shape...well, the tape they used is in pretty bad shape. All dry rotted so I replaced it with electrical tape. I know there's a certain type of non-adhesive black tape thatw as used on the old Mopar
s wiring harnesses year ago, but was wondering if that stuff should be used as it may be more tolerable to the heat. What's your take?

I dunno, but black tape, like duct tape, in hot environments is so annoying as it is guie and sticks to everything.

"guie" cracked me up, Frank! I was reading it over and over and saying to myself: "what the heck? gluey? typo? Ah! Gooey!" :D

The other stuff your talking about is friction tape I think. We used to use it on hockey sticks.

I found that cloth black tape at Home Depot in the electrical section. It was made by 3m. It works great.
