Took my wife and 4 other people that have NEVER been to a Drag Strip to the NIGHT UNDER FIRE Event in Norwalk, Ohio. This the the World's Largest 1 day Drag Race. There are about 200,000 people there (my guess) to witness the most awesome show of THUNDER & RAW HORSE POWER to be seen anywhere.

The Night Under Fire was held on Saturday 7-1-06.
Here is a list of what was there:
QUICK 16--made up of 8 Dragsters & 8 Door Cars (qualified field)
Dragsters were at 6.69 in the 1/4 & Door Cars were at 6.78 (minimum)
SUPERCHARGED THUNDER--16 Blown/Alcohol Door Slammers
WHEEL STANDER
NOSTALGIA TOP FUELERS--(two of them)
TOP FUEL CARS--(Ashley Force & someone else)
JET CARS--(4 of them)
AA/FC FUNNY CARS--(8 of them)
BOB MOTZ's JET KENWORTH
plus all assortments of Bracket Vehicles

Had a great time, was there from 4:00pm to 1:00am. Here are some pictures for you to check out.

I just had to show off this MINI VAN first

Regards
Chuck

I got to race there at a couple of IHRA world bracket finals, great place to go to, and the Bader family (the owners) are really nice people. Did ya get a pound of ice-cream for a buck?

Tonyz2897 and I went to a night under fire event a year or so ago at kanawha valley dragway. It was pretty cool and at the end there was a jet powered mid 50's chevy pickup and we thought something blew out of the engine but they set one of the fireworks off with it and then and awsome fireworks finale. It was a good show I totally recommend seeing it at least once.

It used to be called the Night OF Fire, now everyone calls them Night Under Fire. It sounds like if I go, I'll be shot at!!
