View Full Version : Could someone ID these tranny mounts?

I thought they were the same but Juggy pointed out they are different. Could someone tell me what they are?

Brendhan....the first one is the L-body bracket. It is shorter than the bigger car bracket. Been through this with mine, that's how I know.
The other one looks like a K-body style (bigger car) bracket.

Thanks for the info, guess the other one is from a turbo mini (only other TM I've owned)

lbody for the top one for sure. The mount is on the inside of the bracket because of the narrower Lbody frame rails. But I'm pretty sure other than just the side swaps the Kcars are the same dimensions. Now the longer one you have could definately be from a mini since the frame rails would be higher up than the cars.

I may have incorrectly assumed that the K-car and Mini brackets would be the same. I didn't realize the mini's were that much higher up than the big cars. Hmmmm.
