Dimming Dawes device for night driving

chris, can you have somebody design a circuit for dimming the Dawes Device so is dims with headlights. or maybe with an on off switch for a dimmer setting??
electricity scares ever since I stuck a bobby pin in an outlet when I was 3.

You should be able to lower the voltage to it with a zener diode connected to a switch. Get a zener at 30% of the running voltage of the LEDs and connect it inline before the LEDs. Use a three pole switch, and switch between straight through, and bypassing the straight with the diode.
