Cool thing about the front bodywork on the TC's. There is a 12"x24" vent in the lower front fascia that would be perfect for an intercooler:eyebrows: Now if I could just find one the right size... Hmm, the too small Talon/Eclipse intercoolers are 8" wide... 8"x 3 is-BINGO:D

Obviously, I still have to add the RS aluminum IC pipes to it:thumb:

Wow, that is probably one of the nicest custom coolers I've seen. Well done.

Those are cheap and work really good. Nice job.

Looks good! Are those bar and plate cores? It looks similar to the inside of my NPR. What are the 'RS' aluminum pipes? I used mandrel bent aluminum sections for my intercooler install from ATP Turbo. Stuff is nice and looks good but you have to be careful not to over tighten the T-bolts.

Hey Alan - where'd you get the material for the end tanks?

Hey Alan - where'd you get the material for the end tanks?

4" OD aluminum tube, split in half carefully on a table saw with a carbide tipped blade. Squeeze it with C clamps (slightly too big for the Talon coolers) and weld it up...

Hey - those welds are just FINE. Coming along nicely; pretty soon you'll be certified. Another career, more license fees and E&O insurance to pay?

Holy Schnikes!! Another 2 year old thread back from the dead...

But back to topic, did this ever get finished? Pics?

Something like this might work well for me too....

Finished and working spectacularly. I treated myself to a handy dandy lil infra red point and shoot thermometer last year, it shows that no matter how hard I beat on the car, the inlet temp is just about ambient temp within 10-15 degrees F. I'd say that's that's working pretty well:clap: It was a night and day difference in the way the TC runs. Granted, the TC has a pretty freakin small IHI turbo so flow is pretty light but I built the same IC for the GLHS and it's keeping up with the GT3582 DBB just fine:thumb:

Ill try to shoot some finished pics tomorrow, I thought I had done that but don't know where they ended up...

Is that the stock radiator fan? If so, I would REALLY like to find one as I'm using a modded 3.0 unit right now. It works great, but having one that was actually designed to work on the TII radiator would be nice! :thumb:

Nah, stock fan was a 'long motor' unit that was impossible to pull out with the intake manifold on:mad: So I swapped it for a V6 set up like you:thumb:

V6 3.0 Rad fan rocks! I ganked the T2 style off and threw it in the closet. I'll sell it to you if you want Reaper. But the 3.0 fan is much much better.

LOL, thanks, but I put the 3.0 fan on there becuase I knew it was better. Plus, I wanted more clearance and the flat motor afforded that. I just thought that the fan he had was stock because I could't tell he modded it. Mine looks OK, but he did an AWSOME job modding it because I even know where you have to mod it and couldn't see it! :thumb:

Alan,

I'm reaching out to you about the mods you did to your 16v TC. I can't send you a PM until I've had 5 posts.

I guess that keeps the spammers away:D Looks like you had better get a few posts in... How about an intro post under the project cars section or engine/trans since you are planning a 16V swap. Stay away from the lounge section tho, those don't help your post count;)

I thought the best mods were stickers and fart cans but I guess I am too fast and furious for everyone on this forum!
