View Full Version : headlight restoration kits ??????

While at Pep Boys buying a new headlight bulb, I saw a kit the takes the yellowish tint (old age) off plastic headlights lenses. Have you used this and does it work. Seems like sanding is involved as well as polishing. It was about $12.

Well, if the yellowing and scratches are on the INSIDE, that stuff won't help.

We sell a service at work to revitalize headlight lenses for $50 by Wynns and it's a total rip.....I'd talk every customer out of it if anyone even asked.

Looks good for a few weeks or months, but yellowing and haze returns. You can only do it so many times before having to replace the lens (sanding makes them thin)

I use mothers mag polish, when you have them all cleaned up you can clear coat them.
