sr20 powerd 240ex

my buddy and i have a lil compitition hes got a sr20 power 240ex hes sending the engine to some company over in orgeon he claims it will be makeing 425hp on pumpgas and 20psi. I was looking at some youtube videos and the sr20 seem to make alot of power on pretty low boost, but they seem to lack in the tourqe department.

iam getting a little worried that iam going to get beat, what kind of e.ts would a 240 produce with 425hp? not sure if he mean whp or crank?

Depends on which body style car the motor is in but my Buddys dynoed a little over 500 to the wheels which isn't hard at all to do and it would twist the car so much it would pull one wheel off the ground. On drag radials he spun through third gear and went low twelves I don't remember the mph. But they Are pretty nasty cars the low torq and high rpm is due to the low displacement stroke etc

well i gotta beat him lol. I know i can beat him with my built engine, but not sure with a stock longblock as it will be a little while before i get my other engine done. Right now ive beat a low 12camaro and a low 12 cummins from a 2nd gear roll. dynoing the r/t this friday iam hopeing for 300-350whp at 19psi? on a old tired engine

240's can be fairly fast, a local guy has one, built motor, street tires does low to mid 12's all day long on about 20 psi.

yeah its going to be awhile not sure when he will have his done, iam thinking iam going to have a t3 omni very soon
