Considering swapping my Rampage to 5 speed. I searched around the site but strangely couldn't find much on the topic. I have owned 5speed neons, but never a 5sp TM.

I have a 523 and late-Lbody auto axles, and a friend has a set of pedals for me

I have a few SRT-4 and 1st Gen Neon shifter assemblies. Will these work?

I also have a set of nearly new 2nd Gen neon shifter cables.

I know I need to add a bobble strut bracket to the Kframe.

What do I need for a clutch cable?

What else do I need?

Thanks in advance.

clutch cable - what year is the trans? if its 91+ u need a 91+ cable (they r longer due to the position of the arm)
you need a 5 spd trans mount from an L body. and u have to grind it down a little so that it fits the contour of the 523 trans
the first gen neon cables should work, i dont know the length but there could be a possibility they r too short, but i doubt it lol

other then that i think u got it pretty much covered

Thanks! The trans is a 92, I beleive. I forget the build date right now, but I do know it's a 3.77 ratio. What vehicle should I be looking for a clutch cable for. Pbody?

Do you know what it originally came from ?

I think it came from a Pbody. I bought it from somebody on this site.

Then I'd go with a P body cable to start with. I asked because it very much does make a difference using the right cable with the corresponding transmission. Try to get an OEM cable if at all possible, this is one of those parts where the aftermarket leaves alot to be desired with the 'one size fits all' category.

Thank you very much. Is there any bracketry for the clutch cable I will need?
