can the quaife atb be installed with the eng/trans in the car? steps? exp? pics? thanks :thumb:

You might be able too, but the effort and lack of workspace make pulling the trans a much easier (and probably less time consuming) idea.

Welcome back on line even if not home yet. It isn't practical in car since you have to shim the dif bearings. Here are some links to read.

Either pull the K-frame, or the trans. I haven't found an easier way......... I say pull the trans because you *will* have to grind the case for ring gear flange bolt clearence. (if it's an auto trans) I stuffed a towel into the pinion area to keep the aluminum out of there. (rest of the trans was together).
