Manual Steering in a PT info needed

Did any year of the PT's come with manual steering?

Would a Neon manual rack work?

What year would I need to use?

Not sure, but I think it would be your best bet.

1995-1999 were the only years a Neon could have manual steering.

Aside from the rack, you'll probably want the steering coupler as well, I don't know if you'll want/ need the collumn

There's a company in Columbus Ohio called Steer and Gear.
They will take a power rack and convert it to a manual rack.
The ratio won't change, whatever it is, it is.
Last I was told, the price is around $200.

Interesting. I'll give them a call and find out some more info on that. Would just need a shorter belt. Lose the pump and resovoir.

Update. Talked to Steer and Gear, this conversion is no good for the street. Recommended a factory manual rack. Neon might be an option.

I'll keep that in mind for the future. Replaced the power rack with a reman and cleaned the reservoir. Knock on wood everything is good so far.
