I put in a 3 wire 02 when i did a conversion on my 86 GLHT
runs much better.
4 wire is just another ground.

The white wires are a 12v+ and ground for the heater, Black wire goes to LM and a/f gauge(lame) and grey wire goes to ground. I usually cut 5-6" off on the other side of the plug so you can unplug the O2 if you ever need to change it. Then it looks more factory.

Of course I say since you're swapping things over now is a good time to upgrade on an Innovate LC-1 wideband setup and just leave the 1 wire hanging in the breeze and use the wideband to tell the ECU what is going on (use it's simulated NB output) and then you know your exact a/f ratio since NB's aren't accurate at all.
