OK, I just received a mail order second gen BOV that I thouhgt was to be first gen:( . Aside from it being uncrushable since it is plastic is it worth keeping? What boost levels can it hold? Should I sell it to recoup my money or keep it? I plan on running 18-20 lbs of boost

Thanks in advance,

Deric

if gives you an idea. Usually 2gen owners usually upgrade to the 1st gen bov. I don't think it holds over 15lbs, so they toss it.

Ditch it, and dont crush the 1g! they tend to leak after a while.

I've never had one leak as long as they're not excessively done. Just do it till the nipple is about an 1/8" off the lower lip area.

Also, i've seen 2G bov's leak as low as 12 psi... yes, nearly stock boost levels.

Damn, maybe since it is new and in a original box I can try to exchange it at my Mitsu dealership for a 1st gen, doubt it but worth a shot.

If you want to be able to run higher boost, get an adjustable BOV. My GREEEEEDY Type S has a thumb screw at the top to run higher boost levels
