How do any of you guys get anything out of your log cars on the track? I tried to race my New Yorker this weekend and by the time I got through the line and was ready to stage the intake temps were just outrageous....220 degrees or so. I could leave it turned off for an hour or leave it running, made no difference. It ran very slow like this, even with alky injection.

I'm not going back to the track without an intercooler, at least during the day. That wasn't my only problem though, the brakes wouldn't hold it when I was staging so I couldn't brake boost. Makes for REALLY good 60ft times...

180* thermostat and ice that intake baby!! Maybe try a different type of coolant too?

Already have the t-stat. The fan still doesn't come on til around 212*. I tried ice once but it's hard to get it on the intake manifold...it just dripped off and sizzled on the turbo.

Put a towel down on the intake first, then the ice. :thumb:

Wonder if that SMEC harness is still at P&S. Should grab it and go T2 :) Even with a stock rad/ic setup that's good for low 14's or better at 14psi with the rest of your setup.
