3.0L inspection/questions

Going to look at a 94' Shadow with the 3.0L engine in it. It does not run the guy says the timing belt failed and needs to be replaced. The car has around 100,000 miles on it. What should I be looking at as far as problems. Thanks for any info.

Your in luck that the 3.0L is a non-interference engine so your valves/pistons/etc will be fine. You could simply put a new belt on and go on your way. Chances are that if it snapped a belt then the waterpump needs to be changed. If the cam seals are leaking it would be a good time to change them as well.
