does anyone know what the injectors on a FFV intake are rated at?
i found one in the boneyard yesterday, the guy who runs it said i could have the complete intake for $5.
i didn't figure this was too bad of a price for a T1 intake:D

Works out about +25% of the TII injectors.
Get it. The intake manifold alone worth more than $5.

Plus the injectors are a higher quality stainless steel to live with the high alcohol content. Very desireable, man.

25% eh? how'd you come up with that? A buddy said he looked them up online and found them to be +20%. Just curious as to what's right. I've got them running in my 2.2 T2 New Yorker. I trimmed the fuel curves down 20% and it still will ping once or twice going down the track if the i/c is too warm. So I'm thinking I need a bit more fuel up top but it runs pretty good down low. I'll trim them back some more out of boost if it's a +25% injector.

Look them up on this chart: http://users.erols.com/srweiss/tableifc.htm they do infact work out to be pretty damn close to +25's

Hmmm I have a FFV fuel rail all polished up and ready to go on and threw th injectors at the car thinking that they would'nt work maybe I should have kept them

yeah the SS sure looks nice under the 2 piece fuel rail :) Only thing that doesn't match is the green tops on the injectors.

ok, thanks guys, sounds like this will be perfect for my t2 conversion.
they also had a '91 shadow convertible without the engine or trans, but the shifter and clutch pedal assemblies were still there.
but, i'll probably just rebuild the 413:thumb:

Okay so I have ran into a stump. The lines going from the rail to the actaul car lines are different :( no biggie go to Napa and get ones that do, Ha they have the 5/16's line but not the 1/4 and cannot get it at all.. Do I go cut the lines from another FFV or go to Jeg's and see if they can help me out '

its a late model T-1 intake used on a flexible fuel spirit etc, for running E-85
basicallt Ma Mopar had some spare parts left over and used them for these

How do you know if you found one, are there markings on the intake, or do you just go by the green injector caps?

usually it'll have a big white "FFV" badge on the fenders behind the front tires.
or the engine will look like a T1 without the turbo-it's the same manifold.
also, if you look at the fuel pressure regulator, it should be stamped "Methanol Safe"
hope this helped

you should be able to recognize it by it's really bad paint, running for three days after you turn it off, and the fact that it'll be really nervous and paranoid................

sorry, couldn't resist:D

Math.
I highly recommand a wide band o2 sensor if you are messing with fuel.

Yup thats the line I have I spent about 6 hours polishing mine though. Ypu should have gotten the actual lines that you unplugged the fittings from you'll need about 6 inches of it, I cannot find the 1/4 inch qwick disconnet anywhere Napa cannot even order it, SO im going back to the yard today and see if I can get some fuel lines

6 hrs? All I did was clean the exterior with a clothe. :)

I didn't know better then. Doesn't matter, I sold my set for $80.

is the head worth a damn on one of these? I'm gonna have to pull the head anyway, might as well grab it too.
i know it isn't a tapered shroud head, but can it be used in a turbo app?

You should not have to pull the head to get the injecotrs. I would just pull the rail, disconect the lines and call it a day. Although for 37lb. injectors, I would not bother if they were going to charge me much at all.

I'm after the manifold, since i'm going to have to pull the head off to get to the mainfold bolts, might as well take it along with me.
it never hurts to have a spare, and if it's no good i'll quarter it to see how thick the port walls are and port shape
