View Full Version : Did 3rd Gen Minis ever come with 5x100 or 14" wheels?

Hi folks,

Daft question time, did 3rd gen, 1995 to 2000, or early 4th gen even, come with 14" wheels at all or 5x100 bolt pattern?

Reason I ask is there's a hella lot of rims some with winter tires, advertised around here that say they are 14 inch and are said to be for "1998 Caravan, 2000 Chrysler Minivan, '96 Voyager" etc. There's even some photos where I can read 205/70R14 on the actual tire, so I don't think they're all mistaking 14" for 15" ... I could see maybe the base models having 14" and 5x100 hang on for a couple of years, but I never remember hearing of any 5x100 3rd gens either. There's even some 14" advertised for an '03 :confused:

I dunno if walmart or someone had some winter steelies that will clear the brakes just about on a car that had 15s or what.

Any ideas what's going on here?

Yes, my 97 Voyager had 14" steel wheels at the 5x100 bolt pattern. When they went to the 4th generation ALL vans had 5x114

Yes, thrid gen base model vans got the 14" steelies with the 5X100 pattern. All A604 vans got the larger bolt pattern as far as I know....

Right so, 3.0/A670 and 2.4 vans had them?

Thanks guys, for some reason I had it in my head they went completely to 5x114 and 15" by the time the 3rd gen came out. Will keep an eye on the listings for a cheap set of snows.

Yes, the 3 speed 3.0 and 2.4 vans had them

If it's 15", it's 5x114.

i have a set of 16" cavy Z24 (5 star) rims with like brand new winter tires
looking to get rid of them in windsor

$400 FIRM tires are 205/55/16

They sound nice Juggy, but I'm looking for nearer, slightly taller and about half the price. It's a great deal for the package, but if I have to, I have the rims to get a new set put on for a little less. Was looking more at the "get these out of here" priced stuff that seemed to be turning up on kijiji and craigslist.

I had a 96 grand caravan with the 5x100.. never seen another one. As far as i knew until that point, all the LWB vans were 5x114. In fact, they might have been from 97-on...

Yah, I though the 15s were standard since the 3.3 was standard on grands, which I guess means that if it was ordered with a 3.0/A670 it got 14s.
