Stock PT turbo pistons forged?

I bought some pistons and Eagle rods off Ebay, the ad says stock pistons but they sure look forged to me, they do have the ski ramp dome. :confused:

Stock 2.4 turbo pistons are not forged. They are a newer process of hypereutectic according to articles I have read.

Yeah, it would make no sense to run stock pistons with eagle rods. So you got a set of eagle rods and forged pistons? How much did you get them for?

Yeah, I saw that auction but after reading that it was a set of 3 pistons, and one rod was bent, I figured they would end up being paper weights. Ill just buy a brand new set. Anyways, accroding to a certain person that seems to know what hes talking about JE's sucks.

If the rods are good thats a good deal for a couple spares.

That's what I wanted them for, spares. One rod might be fixable but the other 2 are mint, so perfect for spares. The pistons are ok, some marks but big whoop, get another one and I have 4 forged pistons for my other engine, project, :clap:
