Went to the track, just a handfull of sport compact cars were there. I did about 5 or 6 runs, then left about 7.30. James (Bakes) showed up, which was nice, we played with cam timing a bit to get more top end. It was a fun night, was hoping for an 11 and 120 mph, but, maybe next time. My friend Dave with his mustang was running low 11's, 119 mph, which showed the air wasn't very good, he runs high 10's with good air. Here's a couple vids the wife took, the Honda was fast! I expected to see him in my rear view mirror, but he was just barely a car length behind.

I know there is so much more in this motor and it only at 22psi for now.
I have to take some timing out of it on boost .
and we have to tight up the rear suspenion way to soft of spring rate.

Ps Dick nice holeshot on the Honda.

Thanks! This car really needs some tuning, the cal has never been tweaked yet, and I really gotta get a datalogger up and running, as I can't read the guages, too much going on. Winlog is apparently making a driver for the UEGO, which would be awesome. I would like to log alky also, just to make sure it works. I think it does, because I only run 94 octane.

Great job, looks like your learning how to launch it with the slicks, :thumb:

I'll be out next Friday, but again, weather looks iffy.

Right on! Your car is really pulling. You''ll get the 11 in no time.

How much were you guys adjusting the cam timing?

I think the sprocket is marked in 1* increments, so probably 3*.

I herd though the grape vine that the Honda broke when we left.

Even Kerry knows that Honda. I thought it was just another putt-putt car. :)

Ya that honda is one of the heavy hitters.
and you can see in the vid when the ecu starts to pull the timing .

I think the map sensor fixed mine. Still a few misses around 6200rpm. Maybe an issue with the cal. I was running 12.2's on Friday here so it would of been some good races between the Charger and the Lebaron.

Wow Dick, that thing is hauling on the top end, last years 12.5 run, we are the same et to the 1/8 mile and your 4 mph faster, :hail:

Here's the timeslip when I ran with the Civic. His car was faster et, but I beat him with the rt.

I can run 23-24lb boost on 94

I can run 23-24lb boost on 94

I really don't think we can run 94 to its optimum power levels, this head flows (VE) so well that cylinder pressure are nearing detonation levels alot sooner even with the lower compression we built into the head

I'm tring to talk Dick in the c12 to start but he is set in his ways.
The more i think about it i set this Cal up for race fuel when i made it.

I can try c12, but the cal needs the timing adjusted, nothing has been tuned on this cal yet, the same cal that I ran last year on a whole different setup.

What do the timing curves look like in the cal? Any chance you can post the points for the "Advance from Map Warm Full" and "Advance from RPM 2" curves?
