well first off im new here. i don't own a dodge....yet.... but im a huge fan of 80"s through 90's turbo cars and i am looking for a nice car to work on. well i was looking on craigslsit and i found an 84 lebaron 2.2l turbo. i was wondering what i could do to it to make her really run if i were to get the car. i like to drag race every once in a while at the local track and i was thinking how cool of a sleeper a lebaron like this would be. i guess what i want to know is what i can do to it for fairly cheap to make it fast.

Lol you said nothing wrong. Barons are nice I have a 87 my self. Before you look at a 84 you might want to read this. www.thedodgegarage.com/turbo_glhs.html from what o have been told there a pita to work on. Check out that whole page you'll learn a lot from it and welcome

Welcome to the site.

I would recommend picking up an 85 or 86 car since you will probably need to convert to TII electronics and blow through if you wan't to have a real sleeper on your hands. Those are much easier to do than the 84's.

Also, if you are going to run faster than a 14sec 1/4 you will need a roll bar with a vert. That really sucks.

Is this a coupe or vert? If it's a nice clean 84 coupe then I say go for it. You will need to swap alot of parts, and build a custom wiring harness if you want to go fast.
